Two Silver Coins Charity Volunteers Incorporated is a non-stock, non-profit membership organization registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Philippines, with its principal office in Concepcion Grande, Naga City.
Our volunteers, composed of passionate young professionals, are united by a shared vision to make a positive impact on the lives of less privileged learners in remote public elementary schools across the Bicol Region.
Fueled by the unwavering belief that "every child deserves to go to school with decent footwear," we launched the "Tsinelas ni Tomas" Project in April 2023, providing pairs of slippers to students in distant elementary schools who attend classes either wearing damaged slippers or none at all.
Over time, the project has grown and expanded its scope, which now includes feeding activities and the distribution of starter-kit school supplies, school bags, vitamins, food packs, water tumblers, dental health kits, and rechargeable lamps. All funding for these initiatives comes from individual donations, corporate partnerships, and self-initiated fundraising activities.
Did you know that our organization's name, "Two Silver Coins," is inspired by the biblical Parable of the Good Samaritan?
The story recounts the journey of a man who was attacked by robbers while traveling on the road to Jericho and was left nearly lifeless and wounded.
While a priest and a Levite passed by without helping, a Samaritan stopped to assist him and took him to an inn, paying the innkeeper "two silver coins" for his care.
Two Silver Coins Charity Volunteers Inc., as an organization, draws inspiration from the role of the innkeeper, who, after receiving providence from the Good Samaritan (our benefactors and partners), became a vessel of hope and compassion to help the wounded man (the least, the lost and the last) of our society.
Responding to the needs of marginalized
learners by mobilizing young volunteers as vessels of aid beyond compassion.
To empower remote elementary schools to become active partners in social development initiatives aimed to reduce inequalities in primary education as we collectively pursue a life that embraces inclusiveness and diversity.
Equal educational opportunities and assistance for all, regardless of their financial status, ethnicity, or remoteness of location.
